Change APPS password in EBS R12.2.x Delta 6 or below

Important: These steps must be carried out on the run file system. The FND_USER and FND_ORACLE_USERID tables should be backed up before any passwords are changed. Remove the backups after you have confirmed that the changes are successfully completed. Passwords for all the 3 schemas, APPS, APPLSYS and APPS_NE will be changed together while changing APPLSYS password.

1. Shut down the application tier services using the below script:

$INST_TOP/admin/scripts/adstpall.sh

New Simplified Home Page in Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2

ORA-04061: existing state of has been invalidated

The changes were not applied because ORA-04061: existing state of has been invalidated ORA-04061: existing state of package body "APPS.HR_PERSON_ABSENCE_SWI" has been invalidated ORA-04065: not executed, altered or dropped package body "APPS.HR_PERSON_ABSENCE_SWI" ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: "APPS.HR_PERSON_ABSENCE_SWI"

Issue:-


The leave request approval works fine from the notification list but not from within the email and gives an error that the package is invalid.

Silent Installation of Oracle Database 11gr2

Silent install of Oracle Software, Database and Listener.

Go to the software location
Copy sample response file from /database/response/db_install.rsp
[oracle@dbaarena ~]$ cp -rfv /u01/11gR2Setup/database/response/ /u01/home

Modify the db_install.rsp file.

Concurrent Processing Server

There are reporting programs and data updating programs that need to run either periodically, or on an ad hoc basis. These programs, which run in the background while users continue to work on other tasks are run using the Concurrent Processing architecture. Concurrent Processing is an Oracle E-Business Suite feature that allows these non–interactive and potentially long-running functions to be executed efficiently alongside interactive operations on a specialized server, the Concurrent Processing Server.
Processes that run on the Concurrent Processing server are called Concurrent Requests.
When you submit such a request, either through HTML-based or Forms-based applications, a row is inserted into a database table specifying the program to be run. A Concurrent Manager then reads the applicable requests in the table, and starts the associated concurrent program.
